You hit the tack square on the back. I went out and bought Sonic the Hedgehog as soon as it came out on DVD to try to relive a few of my moments of childhood wonder, only to be incredibly disappointed. I don't know if you remember, but Sonic never, NOT ONCE, kills a robot in any episode I can remember, with his spinning attack. He does it in the title song, but not the actual episode. The whole series is one big bore-fest of rescuing woodland creatures from elaborat Robotnik-fueled schemes. And don't even get me started on exes.
Thanks for saving me from a lot of frustration, Skeptical Halfbreed...
I had a similar experience with rewatching childhood cartoons -'The Secret of the Sword', that He-Man and She-Ra movie (NOT the Dolph Lundgren one)? Auuuuuugh. I thought it would never end when I rewatched it as a 22 year old. Yet I remember hanging on every minute of it. When my parents' foster kid watches it in our house (she's 8 now), she's glued to the television. I think kids' brains process this stuff differently.
As for exes, I usually regret meeting up after about ten minutes. Sad really. At least with a DVD you have the option of switching it off and putting it back in its box. And possibly trading it on eBay.
How the hell do I listen to this? I can't find you on itunes and when I click on your link it just brings me back to your ugly mug!
ReplyDeleteNot on iTunes yet. I'm not close to that interesting. Just push play. Its only a few minutes long. Now.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I'm sayin'. I'm not getting a play button. And when I click on your pic it just takes me to the photobucket home page!
ReplyDeleteDamn technology! Woe is me!
ReplyDeleteDONT CLICK THE PHOTO! Just press play on the skinny ass audio player. If you dont see it you're probably looking at this at work and its blocked.
ReplyDeleteFound the problem. Apparently you can't listen to your cast on Firefox. I gotta use a different browser.
