Kids These Days 16

Enough is enough! There is this story in the new about a 6 year old boy whose family has filed a complaint against the school saying that they are violating his civil rights to come to school dressed as a girl and using the restrooms. Now, I am all for letting people have the right to live as a man, woman, or something in between. But not a child. Nope. Not for one second would I let my daughter have to worry about a boy dressed as a girl use the restroom with them no matter how much he loves being a girl.

The boy, Coy Mathis, parents who need to be punched in their mouths, says that Coy “was labeled male at birth, but has always known that she is a girl, and has expressed that since she was 18 months old.” Seriously? At 18 months old this kid knew that he had retired from the penis having business? You know what I was doing at 18 months? Being something above an infant but below a toddler! Plus, as we all know kids don't have rights. I mean, they do, but not like real people rights.

Coy has been allowed to wear girls clothes at school and during Winter break was not allowed to use the girls bathroom and instead had to use the boys' bathroom, the staffs bathroom, and the nurse's bathroom. This is all way too accommodating for one kids needs that isn't handicapped or special needs.

An attorney for the school said “I'm certain you can appreciate that as Coy grows older and his male genitals develop along with the rest of his body, at least some parents and students are likely to become uncomfortable with his continued use of the girls' restroom, and that it would be far more psychologically damaging and disruptive for the issue to arise at an age when students deal with lots of social issues.”

According to the TLDEF (Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund) Coy's parents have been homeschooling him for the time being. We have five children and we love them all very much, said Coy's mother, Kathryn Mathis. “We want Coy to return to school to be with her teachers, her friends, and her siblings, but we are afraid to send her back until we know that the school is going to treat her fairly. She is still just 6 years old, and we do not want one of our daughter's earliest experiences to be our community telling her she's not good enough.”

No problem with that since you're talking about your son. I know that I may be coming across like a dick but I really do think that kids are being treated like fluffy little bunnies for far too long. You can not tell a little boy that the world will treat him as awesomely as you do by treating him like a girl. That's just not how the way this planet works. If you had let me live how I wanted when I was 6 I'd be in jail because fuck you I'm Batman.

Give me a cookie!!!  RARARARARARARAR!!!

At the age of 6 you don't know what the fuck anything is. Letting your kid make those kinds of decisions is dangerous as hell. This family is setting their kid up for a hard existence. Beyond the fact that they named him Coy. Jesus, who names their kid that?

Okay, I'm not here to attack this kids name. Just his parents and in a small way him. Under no circumstances should a child be allowed to make a decision such as their sexual assignment. When you're a teen, maybe. But when you're a kid there's no way you know that for a fact you will want what you want now in a few years.
