Some people use their anger or hatred
like a shotgun. They will be mad at one thing and end up
buck-shooting something that was a little bit too close. I'm more of
a sniper with mine. I focus, aim, and go after one topic. Glamour
magazine released their Women Of The Year for 2015 and people have
been losing their shit for a multitude of reasons because of this.
Some because they hate transgenders. Some because they hate anything
Jenner/Kardashian related. Some because they do not believe that
Caitlyn Jenner should be included in the category of Woman Of The
Year.
Don't get it twisted. This isn't Time
magazine. It's fucking Glamour. I won't say it doesn't matter because
it is a fashion magazine or whatnot but I get upset when they make
Batman's cape too short but I will say...it doesn't matter. One
writer who wrote a post that was full of all the anger said “By
choosing Jenner as woman of the year, Glamour endorses the idea that
men are better at being women than we are.” She also mentioned
ovulating and having four daughters who I hope do not inherit her
anger. She also pointed out the example of “Martine Rothblatt, a
transgender woman, graced the cover of New York Magazine as
highest-paid female CEO in the nation. Apparently real women can't
cut it, so we've got to import men into our ranks to win awards.”
Another person that is mad about Jenner
getting this award is James Smith. His wife, Moira Smith, was given
the award years ago after his wife died being one of the twenty three
NYPD officers killed during 9/11. He sent the award back to the
editor-in-chief of Glamour with a letter saying “I was shocked and
saddened to learn that Glamour has just named Bruce Jenner 'Woman of
the Year.' Was there no woman in America, or the rest of the world,
more deserving than this man? I can only guess that this was a
publicity stunt meant to resuscitate a dying medium. After discussing
this slap in the face to the memory of our Hero with my family, I
have decided to return Moira's award to Glamour magazine.”
The way this award is handed out is the
same as any other shitty magazine that I am shocked still sell.
Whoever is popular at the time will get it. Selena Gomez got it. Lady
Gaga got it. Lupita Nyong'o got it last year for getting her ass
kicked and screaming in 12 Years A Slave. Jenner is getting it
because she (depending on who you talk to they still refer to her as
a he) because she got a divorce, killed a woman while driving, got a
sex change, and people care about what she is going to wear.
People are interested in everything she
is doing right now. Glamour would be stupid to not have her involved
in their show. ESPN did the same damned thing. Within a year she will
fade into the shadow of her insane ass daughter and extended family
and no one will be talking about her. Let the woman have her moment.
You don't really care if she is given the “honor” of being
nominated. Women have listed all the for lack of a better word, bad,
reasons why she isn't a real woman and hasn't been through what women
have. Everything is blood and pain related. That isn't what I think
women are made of. I can already hear voices shouting what I think does not matter because I have an alleged penis. You don't know Jenner and likely will never meet her. This is not an award young girls want and if they do you raised a strange ass daughter.
