You know what I wish was real? Bigfoot.
The Sasquatch. Yeti. Whatever the hell you wanna call it I want it
real and I want it now. Why? Just because if we are wrong about that
thing it means we can be wrong about a lot of other stuff like
aliens, the Loch Ness Monster, and religion. All over the world there
are different versions of this creature. In over a dozen Native
American cultures there is some version of Bigfoot and it is talked
about the same way we talk about bears. Its a thing that is there and
real.
A while back I heard about this
creature that used to exist called Gigantopithecus. This thing looks
terrifying. It is said to have been 9 feet tall and existed close to
the time that we did. Its not like when we evolve all the other
versions of us go “Whelp. Seems our time is up” and fade away.
They slowly vanish. The thing is though, till this day we find new
creatures that we thought no longer existed or had died out. Last
year alone there were over 18,000 new species discovered.
The Gigantopithecus were first brought
to light by an anthropologist named Ralph von Koenigswald. He didn't
discover it because where he found it in China they were selling
these bones in shops. He found these teeth and was like “Whoa.
These are so not human teeth.” In China they were using the bones
for traditional medicine.
How would you react if you found out
that Bigfoot still existed or was real? I'm not talking about some
grainy footage that someone took on their cell phone but one that was
found while someone was hunting and hurt but didn't kill. Or if a few
just stumbled out of the woods. As much as I wish this would happen I
wouldn't want them caught and put on display somewhere. Ever been to
a zoo? That shit is depressing. I'd like to be able to just watch
them online in their natural environment.
