I think the cops acted appropriately in pepper spraying Aidan. He had several documented incidents of being violent and in this case he refused to comply to officer requests to stand down. Instead of man-handling him which would've drawn all sorts of criticism, they pepper sprayed the Aidan in order to subdue him without harming him.
Bacon lube indeed.
Njeeeri, the world would have gone nuts if the cops had tackled his little fat ass. Or tasered him. The spray was the best option.
