"Teenage Dirtbag" Part 5

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

Part 4

Camaro was looking out of his bedroom window with the curtains shut at the new neighbors son. From some research online he found out that his name was Antonio E. Bagram, age 16. His parents were from Guatemala and Pakistan. He had no siblings other than a younger sister that had passed away when he was 10 years old. They had previously lived in Virginia, Roswell, and Los Angeles. Antonio has trained in krav maga, judo, and various forms of martial arts.

Just as Antonio was about to enter his home he stopped just short of the entrance, turned, and waved at Camaro’s direction. Camaro threw his curtain open and stared. Antonio shrugged and headed inside, closing the door. Aunt Stacy burst into his bedroom, obviously upset. She sat at the end of her bed for a few moments before letting out a frustrated growl.

“Shit!” she shouted.

“Are you out of cigarettes?” Camaro asked. Stacy looked at Camaro, patted her pocket, and lowered her head again.

“The mission is cancelled” she replied.

“Why, ma’am?” Camaro asked. Stacy fished for a cigarette and lit it quickly. Camaro opened his window and turned a fan on.

“Some asshole in Connecticut decided to shoot up an elementary school” she said. “Killed twenty kids and six adults. No he was not one of ours. Schools around the nation are increasing their security.”

“That should not change the mission” Camaro said. “I can still do it. Security--”

“Don’t you get it, Camaro?” Stacy asked as she flicked her half smoked cigarette out of the window while lighting another. “This changes everything. Do you know what we do?”

“We kill. Schools specifically.”

“Do you know why?”

Camaro had never asked why they targeted schools. From what he knew of the world there were plenty of other worse people to take down besides children and teens. He did as he was told and did not ask many questions. He saw his aunt looking at him.

“I do not know why we target schools, ma’am” he finally replied.

“Money” she responded while rubbing her thumb and index finger together. “Well, money, piece of mind, and a healthy dose of fear.” Stacy stood and began to walk out of the bedroom. “Come downstairs with me, Camaro.” He followed her downstairs and sensed someone else in the house. He touched her shoulder to stop her. “Don’t worry about it” she told him. “It’s a guest.”

As Stacy and Camaro rounded the corner leading into the kitchen a large male was sitting at the table drinking a large glass of water. He looked at Camaro and smiled. He stood and extended his hand. Camaro noticed that the entire room felt considerably smaller when the man reached his full height.

“Well, goddamn” the man said. “He’s looks just like his daddy!” Before Camaro could react, even with his reflexes, the man had him in a bear hug. “I’ve wanted to meet you for years but old ‘Dead Nerves’ here wouldn’t let me visit. Figures it takes a bunch of kids getting slaughtered to let me come by!”

“Purely coincidence” Stacy said. “Camaro, this is a old friend--”

“Old boyfriend” the man added.

“Old friend” Stacy corrected. “We call him ‘Lord.’”

“’Lord’?” Camaro asked.

“In the flesh” Lord said. “Damn, you really look just like your daddy.”

“I wouldn’t know” Camaro said.

“That’s right” Lord said, shaking his head. “He was a good man. You know, all things considered.”

“Why are you really here, Randy?” Stacy asked. Lord tried his best to hide his sneer towards Stacy at the use of his real name. “I know you’re not here to catch up.”

“No, I’m not” Lord said and quickly removed a gun from his waistband. Before he could completely raise it towards Stacy, Camaro snatched a fork from the table and plants it deep in Lord’s wrist. Lord did not make a sound. Camaro then kicked a chair into Lord’s shins and as hell fell spun him so that he landed on the top of the chair. Camaro leaps high and brings his knees down on Lord’s chest, breaking his spine.

“Damn it, Camaro” Stacy said.

“But he tried to--”

“I know, I know” Stacy sighed. “But we could’ve at least found out why he wanted to kill us.” Stacy kicked Lord’s body to the floor. It landed with a heavy thud. “Idiot. No, not you. Him. Search his pockets.” As Camaro removed a wallet and cellphone it began to ring. Stacy took the phone and answered it.

“Hello?”

The line went dead.
