Rosscast Episode 278: Don't You Know Who I Am?

In this episode I talk about Cinnamon Toast Crunch nightmares, my busy weekend, Game of Thrones, Dr. Who, falling in love, combative hobos, Black people loving the back of the bus, and a Bitches Be Crazy featuring a drunk Reese Witherspoon. Click here to check out this and past Rosscast Shows. Enjoy!

I totally agree with Trish -Daenerys has finally become a really interesting character. I began to like her last week when she told her two advisors, with great authority and self-possession, that they had better never question her in front of strangers again. Her actions this week have consolidated her as a proper GoT character, finally. She was awesome. Nice to see some decent dragon action too. I think her child-like prettiness really fits well with her steely determination. (I understand your objection to her eyebrows, but imagine her face with no eyebrows...eek! Still, nothing a bit of skillful shaping wouldn't fix). The actress was fantastic in this episode, particularly in the final scenes, and even just her body language when she dropped the whip was so cool. She's become her own woman, no doubt about it. The dragons are just a bonus now. She's the main event.

And I am DELIGHTED you got to see the Weeping Angels episode. It still creeps me out. I'm a relatively new convert to Doctor Who but I'm not going to bother checking out the old episodes, I mean we're talking about fifty years worth of TV history. Much as I love the current series, I couldn't be bothered with the back stories. As far as I'm concerned, the musical sketch by Craig Ferguson tells you all a newbie needs to know about the Doctor. What a great show though. But if you see some old episodes you think newbies should watch, let me know.

And ah, love! Delighted with your lovely new! <3

I just cant get on board with that damn girl. If it were another person playing her then maybe. But when I look at her it just seems like a child pretending to be an adult. I love the dragons but hate that I have to suffer through her to get to them. Her story arc is the least interesting to me. Maybe when she finally connects with other people. Her new helper is hot as hell though.

Dr. Who has way too much history for me. I may go as far back as the Eccleston ones and then move forward. I will have to check that Ferguson video out. I am sure it will help me.
