Dante's New Word Alert: Cuck

When I watch people play video games (yeah, I watch Cartoonz up in my room) or when I see a video of an angry dude shouting before being knocked out they scream this word “cuck.” I was like “Do they mean what I think they mean?” because I thought it meant the word cuckold and due to some of my internet habits that means something way different and would be weird to shout at someone. Urban Dictionary, the foremost source of knowing what the fuck you kids are saying describe a cuck as:

“A man who lets his wife or girlfriend have sex with other men. Often the man lets her do whatever she wants and treat him like shit” as well as “A man who is desperate for acceptance, approval, and affection from women. This desperation has led to the compromise of his beliefs and values, the desecration of his dignity and self-worth, and his inability to stand up for himself and what he deserves as a human being, eg. loyalty, fidelity, and honesty in a romantic relationship.”

Wikipedia describes it as “A cuckold is the husband of an adulterous wife. In evolutionary biology, the term is also applied to males who are unwittingly investing parental effort in offspring that are not genetically their own.” Okay. Still not what I thought it meant. I looked up where the word even came from and it comes from the damned cuckoo bird because they tend to lay their eggs in the nests of other birds. The dicks.

See, in the reality that I occupy there is a category of adult film that I tried watching once and thought “This is just embarrassing” and couldn't. In the cuckold category and what I can see from images that I'll never post on this site it is usually a big Black dude taking the vein train to A-Town on a White woman that is not a porn actress. They look like 55 year old teachers in the middle of America. Her husband either films the action or sits and watches while this guy does things to his wife that he didn't even know she liked. Sometimes the husband will have to join in. So I was a bit confused when I started hearing dudes calling one another a cuck. But if they mean it in those definitions above then I guess its just another mean word folks are throwing around which are always tied to sex, not getting sex, or accusing someone of having sex with someone of their own sex. All three of those things are fine last time I checked but seeing as how I haven't checked in years maybe the rules have changed.

The whole “a man who is desperate for acceptance, approval, and affection from women” is another issue altogether. If you have friends that are doing that tell them to cut that shit out. Hell, that goes for a woman doing the same thing for a men as well. Source: me. I once stopped talking to some people that are great friends now years ago because of who I was dating which affected future relationships because as soon as someone was like “I don't like that you talk to so many females” my Spider Sense went off. No one should change who they are to be with someone because that thing you are changing will become something else. Thankfully the people you ditched will sometimes still be there when you're single again.
