I've never been called for jury duty. Good luck with that.

I kinda agree with you about how the vote doesn't count. But what if someone like the government, or Bill Gates, or whoever runs America these days, decided that democracy was a sham that no longer need to be gone through, and you didn't have the right to vote anymore? You think nothing would change? Hmmm...democracy is shite, but it's the least bad option.

About the balloon-boy thing, I think the family's earnings should be docked until the bill they ran up with this stupid stunt is paid off. I'm not sure jail time is a good idea.

Having free or universal healthcare definitely changes how a nation uses its healthcare facilities. But it's worth the hassle, as far as I'm concerned. It's a basic necessity for a civilised country. Forgive my European prejudices but your healthcare system horrifies me.

Huh? How can you have a relationship with someone you haven't met?

I'm quite interested in starting meditation, but have no idea where to start. How did you start? Books? Classes?

I love that you comment so much. Okay. I will do the jury shit but I swear I will not like it. I will fart and belch or whatever to get set free. Thats how I take a stance. Gas.

Democracy and all the other names for freedom and whatnot are all shite. I'm sorry, but I know so many people are dying for it and all that but its a total lie. Bunch of meatbags fighting for ideas. No one wants to admit its a sham because we all like to feel like we count. We dont all count.

The healthcare bill is so damned convaluted that I have tried to read it and quickly lost interest. Fuck it. I know that whatever I get (even unemployment) is taxed whether I want it to be or not. Healthcare will be the same. They are gonna turn healthcare into how car insurance is. Pay and pay for something you may never need.

I got into meditation from a magazine and started reading books. I would look up multiple techniques and see which one suits you best. The one I mentioned turned out to work very well for me. Transcendental (sp?) meditation is very fun and gives a great rush. Its also hard but thats the first I ever tried but sometimes it was too intense. Good luck with it though.
