Rosscast Episode 96: Secret Shame

Photobucket

Damn site I normally upload shows for download is currently down so those with Firefox will have to work around this issue for now to listen to this episode. I talk about Tiger Woods and his dumb phone call, mistresses not knowing their role, "Twilight", and how I don't talk about my feelings. I will fix the download issue as soon as possible. If you want you can listen to this and even older episodes here. Okay. Old player working. Click here for download. Enjoy!

I"m glad your not dying!! I enjoyed listening to you talk about Twilight and you "talking" about your feelings. What I found funny though, is you didn't tell us Why you liked Twilight? =) How did it make you feel? =)haha.. Actually your not the only male that likes twilight. Don't worry! I found this article about that awhile back. Its called, "Real Men read and like Twilight". Written by a male too!

Check it out. Also, I saw Twlight: New moon with 2 Guys that are NOT gay. Trust me, guys like it and it is OKAY!

Lastly, I think its awesome that you have realized how important sharing feelings can be and how it helps when communicating with people. What you were talking about with anger is very interesting. Which makes sense though and I think that's pretty common. Anger is a complex emotion of a whole bunch of feelings put together. So if your not talking about your feelings, then possibly it just builds up and turns into Anger.

I guess I can further discuss what I liked about "Twilight" on my next show. And that was an interesting artcle by the way. I dont exactly run from girly things (I dare any woman to out "Sex In The City" me!), but this movie I had no intentions of ever watching. You get the blame for whatever fun is made of me.

Team Jacob.

The feelings thing is gonna be hard to fully get used to and I get that. I just hope I can and it makes for more compelling conversations.

The feelings thing is going to be hard. It never gets really easy. But, I think its an everyday challenge that is worth it. I also find your thoughts on Bella and her being selfish and using others interesting. I never thought of her like that but can see it by the points you made. I also see her as following her heart and her destiny (which will to be a vampire). I think she sincerely has feelings for Jacob but it wasn't until later (new moon). However, they are not the same feelings she has for Edward.

Team Edward

I get her following her destiny and loving Edward (I still cant believe I am having this conversation...). But did she have to screw over Jacob in the process? She saw what she was doing and knew she wanted Edward and I believe she led Jacob along.

I am so smug about your discovery that you like Twilight. Ahahahaha.

To be fair to Bella, Jacob knowingly allowed himself to be exploited by her, and she was upfront about it. I think the book makes you see that Bella has no control over her feelings for Edward and that's why her behaviour (depression, running with werewolves/manipulating Jacob, putting herself in danger) is so extreme. Of course in the real world, she'd just be a moany, using wench, but allow us a little bit of fantasy teenage angst, where self-indulgence is ok. But New Moon was really bad at showing any passion whatsoever between Edward and Bella. I watched it and thought, what the hell, she's walking away from Jacob for that block of wood Edward?? I never thought that reading the books.

I think they made a big mistake firing the director of Twilight, they should've stuck with her. She did a great job with it and probably would have made a much better job with New Moon.

For the record, I thought the Black vampire was hot 0_o

I really like GI Joe's Storm Shadow! Yeah, the movie was not great but I still enjoyed it.

I knew as I was watching the film that you would be the main one on my case. I was like "Good thing she's on vacation..." But then you return with your smugatry. Bah! But, yeah. I like it. Still surprised by it.

Th second film was indeed quite different than the first i mood and interaction between characters. Why did they change directors anyway? It wasnt like the first film did bad or anything. And I shall not read the books (this is for real unlike my never seeing the movies statements) so I will take your word for Bella's behavior. And Edward isnt that hot anyway. Team Jacob.
