In this episode I talk about first date rules from Yahoo, my week at my new job, a cool ass concert I saw in downtown Los Angeles, eating pho, and I also answer listener questions. Click here to download this and old ass episodes and click here to subscribe through iTunes. Enjoy!

I just had breakfast in Dantania!

Thanks for answering my questions. I'll comment more later, after work.

Couple of busy days later...still can't believe you made so many episodes of Doom Mates in such a sshort space of time.

Not a huge fan of Vietnamese food, but pho I can do. That pho sounds amazing.

I know what you mean about suddenly have several Julias in your social circle -I never met another Hazel until I turned 22 and then met three in one year, three Irish Hazels around my own age. Unexpected.

WHO talks about your ex on a first date? Bizarre. I also find it strange when people have a physical type that they stick to rigidly, I've known a few people like that. The personalities of the people they have gone out with have been so widely diverse, ranging from very compatible to wildly clashing. It really puzzles me as a rule of thumb for choosing a possible partner. "He must be 6 foot have a monobrow and a neaderthal jaw or I'm just not into him". I mean, I can understand having a type, but there are limits.

Ha, brilliant. I thought setting a cab on fire would count as awesome, no?!

I visited friends in Texas in March who had six or seven cats, one of whom insisted on sleeping with me. I had to throw her out cos she kept purring. I was kepr awake all night by her happiness. Really annoying.

Yay listener questions! I'd almost forgotten the Trololo song. Thanks for answering my frivolousness. I had a boyfriend who would always wear shirts with clashing ties and it really irritated me. I never brought it up though. Irish people would be totally different if it was sunnier, I suspect. I think we'd drink less, actually :(

Music and personality -I have a work friend who is a real daredevil, totally fearless, does not care about the consequences of anything but he has the lamest taste in music. You'd never think the guy who founded his own company, made and lost millions in his twenties, travelled the world and is currently leading a one-man charge against Irish banks is a Neil Diamond fanatic. Exception that proves the rule maybe
