Logan Paul Is A Kid You Don't Know That Is Stupid

I live in the web. I go to the parts of the internet that people tend to ignore because there is some strange, stupid shit there. Sometimes you find some cool stuff like new songs, movies, or hot chicks that are famous for having drastic asses (which is now the name of my new metal band). A child of the internet (meaning someone in their young 20's) named Logan Paul is a famous internet personality. He has 16 million idiots following him on Instagram. Gets a shit ton of watchers on Youtube. For those who may not know, you can make a career out of posting videos online. How? Advertising. You get paid having ads, for views, and being sponsored. Get a few million people watching your shit and you do not have to leave the house anymore.

He is a good example of how I view most kids. On the 31st of December he posted a video while in Japan at the “Sea of Trees” also know as Aokigahara. I have watched documentaries about this place. It is known for people going there to attempt suicide or straight up do it. Shortly after arriving he and his crew found a man hanging. “Yo, are you alive? Are you fucking with us?” he asked the dead man. He posted the video stating “This is not clickbait. This is the most real vlog I've ever posted to this channel. I think this definitely marks a moment in YouTube history because I'm pretty sure this has never hopefully happened to anyone on YouTube ever. Now with that said: Buckle the fuck up, because you're never gonna see a video like this again!”

He talks about the dead body, jokes around a little bit, and says that suicide and depression are not a joke. You know. Covering all that ass. But not enough. Even in his apology letter he praised himself for how much work he does and how he gets views. He tried to pass this off as educational, like he just learned a lesson and was teaching one. Nah. He monetized the video through Youtube meaning he was making money off it. The problem with that, one of many, is that you can not post shit like that on Youtube. I have watched people play video games and get them removed because they played ten seconds of a song. This dude posted a guy dead and hanging and got millions of views.

From kids.

Yeah. That is his audience. Mostly kids watch his shit because his stuff, to me, is shit. That means millions of parents had to deal with their kids freaking out because many of them for the first time in their short lives got to see a real dead body. Logan said that he was laughing and acting silly as a way to cope with what he saw. I get that a bit. I used to move dead bodies and talk about wrestling or what to get for lunch. But I didn't post it online. I didn't take photos with corpses. After getting a shit storm from people online he issued an apology. Later he made a video.

“I've made a severe and continuous lapse in my judgment, and I don't expect to be forgiven. I’m simply here to apologize. What we came across in the woods that day was obviously unplanned. The reactions you saw on tape were raw, they were unfiltered. None of us knew how to react or how to feel. I should've never posted the video.” Nope. Shouldn't have but you did and that shit will live forever on the internet. This is a new world that our brains are not accustomed to and may never be. Our brains are being rewired in this stupid ass way as if when things are happening in real life it is being processed as if it is online. I have watched people in the middle of fights, riots, and stampedes start recording as if their life is not in danger. Police shootouts have people standing in gunfire to be able to be the first to have others re-post their video. “First!” they shout.

A big issue besides the fact that parents have allowed their children to grow up to be fucking sociopath like nimrods is that there is a strange backlash that occurs after suicide is advertised. Think of it as sort of a Kurt Cobain effect. One study done years ago said “One risk factor that has emerged from this research is suicide 'contagion,' a process by which exposure to the suicide or suicidal behavior of one or more persons influences others to commit or attempt suicide. Evidence suggests that the effect of contagion is not confined to suicides occurring in discrete geographic areas. In particular, nonfictional newspaper and television coverage of suicide has been associated with a statistically significant excess of suicides. The effect of contagion appears to be strongest among adolescents, and several well publicized 'clusters' among young persons have occurred.”

Yes, by advertising suicide people who are prone to suicidal thoughts may be more willing to do it, especially young people like the audience that consumes Logan Paul's brand of bullshit. People are really upset now but it will fade away the way things do these days. If you do some dumb shit you just need to say sorry and not do anything else for about a week until someone else does something way worse and no one is talking about you. Those are the old rules though. To stay relevant you need to keep doing stupid shit to get views and likes. This is not my world anymore. You can say that he is young and does not now any better but no one gets better by being told they do not know it.
