Rosscast Episode 37: Get In My Belly!

Photobucket

In this episode I discuss Uno, eating sushi (dont be nasty!), having friends in relationships, dogs licking your face, getting turned down for craptacular jobs, and what to do if you're a complaining ass person. Enjoy!

You have the most eclectic taste in music.

3D chalk? that sounds so damn cool.

The longest I've been in a job is probably 18 months or two years. Somebody once said something that if you find what you love to do, you'll never work a day in your life. I don't know my passion is yet so I work. I'm grateful though, I have a job with more upsides than downsides, good colleagues and a good salary and some cool perks. Don't know how I got so lucky. I don't feel I deserve it, really. But I'm grateful.

There is nothing that affects me worse than jobhunting when unemployed. I totally sympathise. Forgive me if this is a bad question, but considering you're an intelligent, articulate person, have you considered doing some training or education to better your job prospects? The jobs you've mentioned that you've done in the past, and the ones you've applied for...it just seems you're punching way beneath your weight. I really can't square you, the person I interact with on the forums and whose stuff I read and listen to here, and the jobs you've talked about. I mean, I've done every kind of job going; I have two postgraduate degrees, yet four years after getting my second Masters degree I spent a few weeks helping my mother, a cleaner, to clean apartments and houses in my hometown, so I've no problem doing whatever needs to be done for money, or just to avoid sitting at home on my arse, unemployed. But I know that having that extra bit of training gives me an edge when a good job I like does come along. I think you could be an amazing journalist or something if you decided to go through the appropriate process.

You just scared the LIFE out of me with a Skype chat text! LOL I will continue to catch up on these podcasts backwards next week.
