Rosscast Episode 46: The Black Jon & Kate Minus Eight!

Photobucket

For the first time I tried using Skype to have Jess on with me. Sounds kinda weird but its an informative Rosscast nonetheless. We discuss Gerard Butler, Jon & Kate, movies, religion, Steve Harvey's dumb ass, when she boned out when I first met her dad, and how we met. Enjoy!

I hate it when films have elaborate premises that take place in the near future. 2017 is 8 years away. There's no way in hell this will take place then. I know it's fiction but toss in some sort of realism. I'm not asking much. Just that they place their action in the year 3017 or something. Some time that I know I will never be around to see. Even with Back to the Future 2, 2015 was too close. If I don't see hover boards by then Zemeckis will have some serious questions to answer! Otherwise, the Surrogates looks decent. The billboards have been dominating L.A. recently.

I laugh when I look at older movies and the 1990's are all gritty with flyign cars. They really do need to start placing things no sooner than 2500 something. All it did was jack up our expectations for the future.

Like I've said before, a piece of styrofoam can take out a shuttle. We're a long way from Star Trek, man.
