Fast food chains definitely should pay their staff €15, just because they make so much damn money. Yup, I'd go all socialist on their asses.
Ah New York. I've heard so many of them bitch about visitors and boast about how rude they are, and it's mostly bullshit. I've had to ask annoying questions of New Yorkers plenty of times and they couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, each and every mouthy one. They might talk shit about being tough and mean and macho but actually what they do be nice as pie to your face, and bitch behind your back. Pussies. In an adorable way.
I can kind of understand why New Yorkers get annoyed and are rude sometimes though. I've been a tourist in enough places and had to put up with enough damn tourists in my own town to get that it's annoying when newcomers don't know what the hell they're doing. Anyway, New Yorkers are all talk, that's just what they do.
I'm never going to Florida, especially now that the sinkholes are eating place from below. Eek.

Its funny but some study asked tourists who were rude and they said Los Angeles. I'm like "Most people aren't from here so you hate yourself. No go home!" Just slightly rude. We get mad at people who bitch about the way people here are when seriously, a lot of people here are from back east or the mid-west. I am not taking the flack for them.
I probably wouldn't have as much an issue with the extra $15 if the service was better. But its not and that is a LOT of money for that job. If something did go into effect you could expect most of them to be laid off.
And no one should be in Florida. Even Earth is trying to eat it up.
You look and sound so happy. Also Toya clearly can verbally kick your ass, so I like her for that alone.
I've only had good experiences with people in LA, natives or new arrivals. I probably have told you a couple of my stories. Anytime I've had reason to talk to people there, they've made me smile.
Toya's agony aunt responses are hilarious. I hope she does more.
Oh, and if the hourly wage of a McDonalds worker was calculated on the basis of how much money they made for the company per hour, they'd be paid a lot more than $15. The reason they're paid whatever shitty salary they are is because McDonalds know they can exploit the poor and uneducated. Fuck them and their billion dollar profits. Sure the work isn't skilled enough to justify the wage, but the profits are.
