Dante vs. Nature 14

I was looking at an article on Cracked which I wont link because that site is 10% as funny as it used to be. They had an article where they showed this fish called a Sarcastic Fringehead. Looking at it you wouldn’t think much of it. It just looks like an ugly and colorful fish. There is nothing scary about it. You might even be able to eat the damned thing. That is until it decides to open its mouth. Here’s a description of the beast.

Sarcastic Fringehead “…is a ferocious fish which has a large mouth and aggressive territorial behavior. When two fringeheads have a territorial battle, they wrestle by pressing their distended mouths against each other, as if they were kissing. This allows them to determine which is the larger fish, which establishes dominance.”

Now feast your eyes…upon horror!

Aah! Aah! Aah!

Fuck this thing! Look at that mouth! There is no reason that this thing should be in the sea. In California no less. This fucked up monster is swimming the oceans like its no thing. And what’s with its name? Sarcastic means as far as I know “…marked by a tendency to find and call attention to errors and flaws.” The only error is that we let this thing live for so long. Goddamn thing looks like the vampires in Blade 2.

Smoochies!

I swear you must have made this thing up. No way this is a real creature. Do we really have to share a planet with this?

Now I feel bad because I'm being speciesist. Maybe it has a nice personality.

...it doesn't look it has a nice personality.

This beast is real and I am judging it based on how it looks. It should not be something we can go and yank out of the ocean right now if we wanted to.
