Rosscast Episode 299: The End Of An Error

In this episode I take some of my favorite moments with past guests including Josh Smith, Alex Hluch, Big Daddy Donnie, Dan-e-o, Brian, Quinno, Rico Montana, Kiyoshi, and of course Camille. This is a bunch of random clips that still make me smile and I'm glad that they are recorded because every time I hear them I laugh. Click here for this and previous Rosscast Shows.

This Is My Victory Bear! Part Deux

Once again I had to prove my champion status by winning a bear out of a machine. Years ago I got one from a local Toys R Us despite Camille thinking that I was wasting my money (click here to read it). She still has Angry Bear in her car and I hope that every time she sees it she is all like "My friend Dante is a champion of champions!" Yesterday was spent driving around shopping, laughing, more shopping, and eventually eating some awesome food which I will post on Fill Your Food Hole later. At this car wash they had one of the machines where you can play for fifty cents. I saw two possible choices I wanted. Once again Camille doubted my mad claw using skills and I had to prove her wrong. Yes, it took a dollar but I did it. I'm sure that the cashier was wondering what the hell was wrong with me as well as the guys waiting for their cars to be finished cleaning. I tried again later and could not get another bear but I now am 2-0 for winning bears.

Dante Vs. Nature 24

Fucking lions, man. No, not, like, actual lions fucking which is hilarious. Just lions in general. The other day Cam called me and asked if I had heard a news story about a woman mauled by a lion at a sanctuary. I checked the internets and ended up finding another story about another woman being mauled and killed by a lion. The first one is a intern that worked at an animal sanctuary in Central California and police are trying to figure out what caused the attack. Hmm...one can only speculate.

The lion, 5 year old Cous Cous, attacked and killed the intern while she was in the lions enclosure. When cops arrived she had already been fucked up and lying near the lion. They tried to lure it away but it was full of human blood and didn't want to hear none of their shit so they shot it. Only one other employee was there since the park is closed on Wednesdays. This entire thing sounds like a recipe for disaster if you ask me which you didn't so I shall continue to provide my opinion.

The lion had been raised there since it was 8 weeks old. Its so weird to me that people think its tragic or act surprised when a big ass wild animal does what big ass wild animals do: attack things. And sleep. Lions that are locked up anywhere always look sad. I'm sure this one was just waiting for someone to slip.

Story Behind The Photo 17

I have very little initiative when it comes to involving others in things that I do. I consider myself rather dull with extreme bursts of nonsense that hopefully is recorded for proof that I'm alive. My best friend Cam is the opposite. She loves planning events and things for people to do together. I cant very well invite folks to come and iron clothes with me or watch hours of fights on Youtube. So a few months ago when she came up with the idea to go hiking once a month I was so down with it. Yes, people still say “down.” The pictures were provided by Cam and Donna

Last month we went to Kenneth Hahn to hike and it was awesome. Besides the fact that lots of hot chicks were involved it got me out of the house. There was this one hill that Cam affectionately called “The Murder Hill” that we thought we avoided. We went one way and it led to La Brea, a street, so we turned, hiked back, and went up this sumbitch. It hurt but we survived, went and had a great breakfast, and headed home with plans to see a movie later.

That so didn't happen.

Story Behind The Photo 15

This is the official first image of Pretty Ricky. Me and Cam were in Westwood doing some shopping and there was this $3 shop that we were in and I saw this thing just calling for me. Why did I want it? I have no idea. I saw it and got it. We rode around Beverly Hills singing Blondie songs and scaring tourists as a very happy curly haired chick and her large Black male friend sang “Heart Of Glass” at the top of their lungs. This was one of those days that I look back on and remember so many details. I was so damned happy just being a weirdo with my bestfriend. This wig inspired me to make Pretty Ricky a character on Doom Mates and you all know how that went. Pretty Ricky has a Prettier Than You series and has even been on Tha O Show. I wish I had this day on tape. Why do we not have that technology right now? Stupid planet.

Mural Remix Tour 2012

The other day Cam invited me on a art tour. I had never been on a tour before where you, like, get on a bus and ride around and take pictures and “Ooh…” and “Ah…” at everything like a Smurf witnessing fireworks. It was hosted by UCLA and I am past glad that I went because I ended up enjoying myself a great deal.

The tour started off at The Fowler Museum where we checked out the Mapping Another L.A: The Chicano Art Movement and it was hosted by Pilar Tompkins Rivas. We saw a bunch of cool stuff there about the murals throughout Los Angeles and some videos. We had seen some the stuff from the artists from a previous exhibit at LACMA but more on that later. No picture taking in the museum so sorry, I have no photos.

Dinosaurs Terrify Dante

The other day I went to the Natural History Museum with Cam. It was awesome since I hadn’t been there since I was a little kid. It seemed that back then I went to museums more often and by junior high I didn’t care because the classes only went to boring ass places. It turned out that museums were actually pretty damned cool and that it sucked just because I was surrounded by a bunch of idiots (classmates) and a guide (teacher) that didn’t know what they were talking about. Now when I go its with a friend that’s smarter than me and has, like, culture and shit.

Rosscast Episode 114: Check Tha Vocab!

Guess who was finally able to get the best woman in the world on his show? Me! Thank you. Next question. In this episode me and my best friend Cam talk about our top five favorite hip hop albums, movies, books, first kisses, Indian guys, LOL's, and too many other things to list. And just so you know, at the very beginning we are talking about a Spanish film she rented called "Mirage Man." Remember to click here to download this and other Rosscast episodes. Enjoy!
